For more than two decades, Vijetha Hospital has been serving the people of Cumbum and surrounding communities with compassionate, ethical and dependable healthcare services.
Established in 2001 by Dr. Shaik Mahaboob Basha, the institution was founded with a vision to provide affordable, accessible and patient-focused healthcare for families across the region.
Vijetha Hospital began its journey as Vijetha Nursing Home, with a dedication to quality medical care and compassionate patient service.
With the trust and support of the community, the institution expanded steadily and was renamed Vijetha Hospital in 2004.

Dr. Shaik Mahaboob Basha

I was deeply influenced by the values of discipline, dedication, and public service inherited from my father, Late Shaik Mahaboob Saheb, who honorably served in the Indian Army for 26 years and retired as Honorary Naib Subedar. These values have remained guiding principles throughout my professional and medical journey.

I was born and brought up in Rajupalem village of Komarole Mandal and completed my schooling at Zilla Parishad High School, Rajupalem. I pursued Intermediate education at Andhra Christian College, Guntur.
With a strong desire to serve society through medical service, I completed my BHMS degree from Dr. Gururaju Government Homoeopathic Medical College, Gudivada — one of the respected homoeopathic medical institutions in South India.
With the vision of making quality medical services accessible and affordable to rural and middle-class families, I established Vijetha Nursing Home in Cumbum in the year 2001, which was later renamed Vijetha Hospital in 2004.
The establishment and early development of Vijetha Nursing Home were greatly supported by my brother, Mr. Shaik Saleem Basha, whose encouragement and dedicated efforts played an important role during the formative years of the institution.
Over the years, our hospital has continuously worked to provide ethical, patient-focused, and compassionate treatment to the people of Cumbum and surrounding villages.
Along with medical practice, I have always believed that service to patients should reflect humanitarian values, social responsibility, and respect for human life.
As an active member of Lions Club of Cumbum and Lions Clubs International, I served in several leadership roles and actively participated in medical camps and community welfare initiatives for underserved populations.
In recognition of these services, I was honored with the Lions International President's Service Medal.
Today, as Vijetha Hospital completes twenty-five years of service, it gives me immense satisfaction to see the institution continue its journey while remaining committed to ethical and compassionate patient care.
